The fastest way: from inside the app

If you still have Vinci Brain installed, this takes less than a minute:

Open the app → Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Delete my account.

Deletion is immediate, guests included.

Guest account or hidden Apple email? Delete it in the app. A guest account has no email address, and with a hidden Apple email we cannot confirm that a request comes from you, so we cannot delete these accounts by email. A guest account cannot be recovered after you uninstall the app: delete it in Settings first, otherwise it stays on our servers.

Already uninstalled the app?

No problem. You can request deletion by email instead.

Write to us from the email address of your account so we can confirm it is yours, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Request account deletion by email

This opens your mail app with the subject line already filled in. If you’d rather write it yourself, send your request to [email protected] from your account’s email address.

We delete the account by hand and answer within 30 days, once it’s done. If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove Vinci Brain from your Apple account (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple).

Optional: if there was something about the app that didn’t work for you, feel free to mention it in your email. It’s not required to process your deletion, just genuinely useful for us if you feel like sharing.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account (immediately in the app, within 30 days by email):

• Account, learning data, display name, sign-in sessions: deleted. This covers your email address, your account identifiers, your quiz and learning sessions, your answers, your progress per question, your streak and daily activity, and the themes you choose.
• Premium entitlement and purchase provider record: deleted with a registered account.
• Usage statistics (only if you turned on “Analytics tracking”): for a registered account, also deleted when you delete the account (the provider completes the deletion within a few days).

What remains, and for how long

• Guest account: the purchase provider’s random identifier is not deleted with the guest account; it is linked to nothing else. Usage statistics are not linked to the account and expire after 1 year.
• Diagnostics: they contain no direct identifier and are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• App update checks: the installation identifier used by our app update provider is linked to nothing else, so it is not deleted with the account. The app forgets it when you uninstall it; the provider deletes it when our contract with it ends at the latest. The IP addresses in the provider’s request logs are deleted after 90 days at most.
• Technical logs of our hosting provider, including sign-in logs (they can include IP addresses): deleted automatically after 1 day. We keep no backups of the database.
• Emails you send us: kept as long as needed to answer, then up to 1 year to show that we handled your request.
• Purchase receipts: kept by Apple or Google under their own policies. We do not keep any after your account is deleted.
• Anonymous onboarding statistics, including the reason you choose in the farewell survey: they have no identifier, contain no personal information, may be kept.

Subscriptions and Lifetime

• Deleting your Vinci Brain account or the app does not cancel a subscription: only the store can. Cancel it in your Apple account settings or in the Google Play app (Payments and subscriptions).
• Lifetime ends when you delete that account. Restoring it on a new account is not guaranteed.
